leland last weekend was a wonderful little getaway complete with the beach, football, both of us getting burnt to a crisp, being adventurous & trying new things (like fresh fish, and SUSHI when we got home!), climbing down the dunes, two hundred photographs, breathtaking sunsets, sleeping on pull-out couches, finishing three books, relaxing on the boat, fireworks on the beach, getting to finally meet/know his half-brother & girlfriend, and enough cocktails & food to keep the ten of us content for the week.

and there will be pictures, soon. promise.

so we finally figured out our spring break plans:
MYRTLE BEACH. ocean front hotel downtown. :)

i think i will actually be able to afford it if i work my ass off for the next five weeks (when my work reopens)... but i'm trying to raise a little extra money for food/spending, because i'll be cutting it pretty close.

sooo... would anyone be interested in buying homemade cards?

they are 4 x 5.5", blank inside, decorated on front. horizontal or vertical. 3D. all unique.

if so, how much would you consider reasonable to pay for one?

this is winter... saturdays and sundays mean rolling around in bed for far too long because i don't want to get all bundled up to go out in the cold. the only good things about it is wearing my eskimo boots, not having to work for six weeks, and keeping each other warm under blanket-tents.

to the girl who once told me i was one of the best people she had ever met, i will never forget you either. remember when we were "roxy" and "dawls"? i wish that i could go back to then and we could have never drifted apart, that we wouldnt have put off hanging out again in highschool. we just never realized how little time you had. you blossomed into such an incredibly beautiful person, it was so amazing to watch you overcome all of those silly middle-school insecurities, but you never realized how beautiful you were no matter how many times anyone assured you. i only hope that you are looking down on us and could see the masses of girls - your classmates, friends, team members, and teachers - who came together and so devastatingly cried for you when we heard the news, and all of those who still continue to mourn you. i bet you never would have imagined how many people you affected.

i will never stop looking for you in the hallways.
